The self-titled debut full studio release from American indie-pop outfit The Drums follows their critically acclaimed EP ‘Summertime’. Featured on the BBC’s Sound Of 2010 list, the band was formed by childhood friends and former bandmates Jonathan Pierce and Jacob Graham. Their unique surf-pop sound is influenced by an unusual mixture of Factory Records-inspired indie with the pop sensibilities and sunny melodies of the Beach Boys. ‘Best Friend’ is the first song Pierce and Graham wrote for The Drums and is the first single to be taken from the album.

Signed to Moshi Moshi, the band have been label mates with some of the most illustrious names in contemporary Indie, including Florence & the Machine, Hot Chip and Friendly Fires!
