The Italian answer to UK’s 80’s ska revival, Casino Royale formed in Milan, Italy in 1987, highly influenced by the Specials, the Pogues, all early reggae, and of course the Clash . Their debut LP, reissued on vinyl for the first time here, is considered by many an undisputed classic of European ska/rocksteady. Even though the band went through a few style changes in the early 90’s and lost their main singer Giuliano Palma (who went on a solo career scattered with success), Casino Royale remained active until today as one of the big names of alternative music in Italy. This where their die-hard fans heart still beats.
