· Sabaton, from Falun, Sweden, have secured their position as one of Europe’s premiere power metal bands through sheer hard work. With over 500 shows in more than 30 countries, albums charting all over the world, excellent reviews and several awards worldwide, these guys never seem to stop. Their unique lyrics, inspired by different war themes, have secured them tours with metal greats such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Scorpions and Accept.

· For their most recent (their sixth) studio album, ‘Carolus Rex’, Sabaton abandoned the lyrical themes of WWII and got back to their own country, delivering a symphonic, epic concept album about the Swedish Empire (1561-1721), featuring a collaboration with well-known Swedish historian Bengt Liljegren. The bombastic sound was set up by iconic producer Peter Tägtgren (Pain, Hypocrisy), who also appeared as a guest vocalist.

· Sabaton continue to receive constant critical acclaim from the UK metal press and were recently nominated as Best Live Act at the 2013 Metal Hammer Awards. Hardly surprising as the band now have a rabid, dedicated fanbase that recently saw them complete their biggest UK tour to date, including a pyro-infested show at the London Forum.

· The digipack CD, gatefold double LP and digital download formats feature the set at the Woodstock Festival in Poland.
