Tarja Turunen started releasing music under her own first name in 2006. Initially with her Finnish released Christmas album “Henkäys Ikuisuudesta” and in 2007 with her first rock opus “My Winter Storm”, which reached number 3 in the German charts achieved gold status and is considered her actual solo debut. To mark the 15th anniversary, this monumental first album will be re-released for the first time and exclusively as a limited-edition double LP on blue vinyl on 04.11.2022. Recorded in studios in Ireland, Finland, Swiss or the USA, a multitude of partners were involved in the songwriting, which is then also reflected in the stylistic diversity of the songs. The German guitar player Alex Scholpp (Farmer Boys), violin dervish Lili Haydn and bass legend Doug Wimbish (Sugarhill Gang, Living Colour) as well as the Czech Film Orchestra including a complete choir contributed to the colourfulness of the sound in the studio. The newly reissued edition on blue vinyl also features 3 additional tracks that were not included on the very first CD edition. For one, “The Seer” both in Tarja’s own original and in a duet with German rock legend Doro Pesch, plus the feverish metal number “Enough” with the Brazilian guitarist Kiko Loureiro (currently with Megadeth) and the atmospheric ballad “Wisdom Of Wind” recorded in China with the Beijing Philharmonic setting the tone for fantastic soprano cascades.
