Jump Jamaica Way was originally released in 1963 on ND Records – one of Clement “Sir Coxsone” Dodd’s many imprints – compiling singles from the label’s roster, which included house band The Skatalites, as well as The Maytals, The Charmers, and Alton Ellis, among others. Not too shabby a line-up, to put it mildly, and Jump Jamaica Way really delivers, 12 scorching ska sides for your dancing pleasure. As the notes say, “cut the chatter and spin the platter”. Another impossibly rare Jamaican LP resurrected on 180 gram vinyl by Dynamite!
