Rockabilly icon, Eddie Cochran, best known for his “Summertime Blues”, embodied the rebellious spirit of American teens, who in the 1950s, were in the middle of a cultural revolution. Cochran, a teenager himself when his first hit, “Sittin’ In the Balcony”, was released in 1956, was an extremely talented (and good-looking) musician, on the cusp of major stardom when he was suddenly killed in a car accident at the age of 21. Despite his early demise, this collection of hits only confirms Cochran’s role as one of rock music’s greatest architects.
