Kitty Kat Fan Club was started by Mike Park in his hometown of San Jose, Ca.. The idea was simply to put together a band of local friends whom could get together a few times a month, write songs and have fun hanging out. The realization for Park was that he had not been in a band with members from the same town since his days in Skankin’Pickle (1989-1996). This aspect of being in a band that would be able to hang together outside of music was sorely missed and thus Kitty Kat Fan Club was born. The band plays a simple indie/twee sound influenced by bands like Cub, Belle and Sebastian, The Pastels, Alvvays, and feature dual lead vocals/harmonies by Brianda Goyos and Catherine Jones. After releasing two 7”s, the band is proud to unveil their debut full length Dreamy Little You. Along with Park (Guitar), the band features: Mike Huguenor (Jeff Rosenstock Band/Hard Girls) (Keys/Guitar) • Brianda Goyos (Just Friends) (Vocals) Jon McMaster (Stickup Kid) (Bass) • Catherine Jones (Vocals) Sim Castro (Guitar) • Justin Amans (Drums).
