2018 marks 50 years since the Steve Miller Band’s first two Capitol Records albums were released in 1968, and to commemorate the golden anniversary Miller and Capitol/UMe present remastered versions of the legendary group’s first nine studio albums in an unprecedented new 180g vinyl box set collection. Complete Albums Volume 1 (1968-1976) spans the band’s first studio effort, Children of the Future, through 1976’s multi-platinum masterpiece Fly Like an Eagle and also includes Sailor, Brave New World, Your Saving Grace, Number 5, Rock Love, Recall The Beginning…A Journey From Eden and The Joker. One of the world’s most commercially successful and acclaimed artist/bands in the history of popular music, Steve Miller was a mainstay of the San Francisco music scene that upended American culture in the late 60s and by the early ’70s had crafted a brand of pure pop that was polished, exciting and irresistible.
