Accidentally on Purpose is an album by Deep Purple members Ian Gillan and Roger Glover, released in February 1988 on Virgin Records. The track “Lonely Avenue” appeared on the soundtrack to Rain Man featuring Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise. The track “Telephone Box” reached No. 15 on Billboard charts.

Ian Gillan is an English singer and songwriter. He originally found commercial success as the lead singer and lyricist for Deep Purple.

Roger David Gloveris a British bassist, songwriter, and record producer. Glover is best known as the bassist for hard rock bands Deep Purple and Rainbow.
