Canadian Progressive Rock band Saga released their fourth studio album Worlds Apart in 1981, which became their commercial breakthrough. Widely considered as Saga’s best album, the album has become the band’s most recognizable work to date.

The single “On the Loose” was not only a radio hit, but one of the first videos to be featured on the fledgling MTV network. It was a single that hit number 26 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 3 on Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks in 1981.

Fleshing out the song’s arrangements with lots of interesting instrumental detail, the band manages to maintain their Progressive Rock roots while producing strong, effective Pop tunes.

Worlds Apart has been certified Platinum in Canada and Gold in Germany, Denmark, the United States and Norway.
