The Art Yard / Kindred Spirits series continues with this unreleased and much sought-after concert by Sun Ra and His Mythic Science Arkestra in stunning full swing at Théâtre Du Châtelet in Paris, 1971. The epic 13 track, two hour CD comes as a double pack including unpublished pictures from the concert by Jorg Becker and liner notes by Arkestra member Knoel Scott.

The LP version contains three extended highlights of the concert, with the same unpublished pictures and liner notes on the printed inner sleeve. WIth drum Legend Lex Humphries, Danny Thompson on bongos, and John Gilmore on timbales, Sun Ra conducts proceedings at the controls of his Farfisa electric keyboard.

The plethora of sounds are reminiscent of ‘Space Is The Place’, and call for transportation out of a world stricken with antebellum apartheid, psycho-social trauma, discrimination and degradation into a mythocracy of omni-being. File under Intergalactic Jazz.
