It took Jennifer Warnes five years to construct a follow-up to Famous Blue Raincoat, and she again came up with some excellent covers, including Todd Rundgren’s “Pretending To Care” and The Waterboys’ “The Whole Of The Moon,” that may have been new to her listeners. And she got a song from Donald Fagen (“Big Noise, New York”). She also did some of her own writing and had participation from her old boss, Leonard Cohen on “Way Down Deep.” Produced by Elliot Scheiner, The Hunter, like Famous Blue Raincoat, enjoys masterful recording technique and now the incomparable Cisco Music treatment.

Mastered by Bernie Grundman and pressed at RTi on 180-gram virgin vinyl. This long awaited release is now available at the pre-order price of £27.50. This price may rise considerably after the first batch of stock has sold through, so please place an order sooner rather than later to guarantee the best price.

This release is sadly the end of the road for the Cisco label, who worked closely with Jennifer to ensure quality throughout this release. Larry and David (of Cisco) have carried on where Cisco left off, with their newly formed Boxstar Records, although they’ve yet to let on whether they plan any further Jennifer Warnes releases. Keep your eye on our website for any further news.
