This excellent singer-songwriter is back with her first album of original material since 2007’s Beauty & Crime! “Tales from the Realm of the Queen of Pentacles” will be released on 3rd February 2014, it features ten new songs each telling a story that has to do with the material world and the world of the spirit and how they intersect. Suzanne spent the past few years writing and recording these new gems on the road, recording portions in Chicago, London, Prague, LA and New York City, and Kyserike Station, an old train station in upstate New York. Tracking for the album took place mostly at the Clubhouse Studios in Rhinebeck, and the album was mixed by Kevin Killen, who has worked with Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush.

Acclaimed songwriter Suzanne Vega emerged on New York’s early 1980s ‘neo-folk’ scene, when she began performing her own songs accompanying herself on acoustic guitar in the clubs of Greenwich Village. 28 years and more than seven million album sales later, she has become known for recording in multiple styles, from stripped back acoustic performances, to sophisticated electronic arrangements. She has collaborated with artists ranging from The Soul Rebels Brass Band to film maker David Lynch, virtuoso trumpeter Alison Balsom, composer Philip Glass and folk guitar legend Richard Thompson.
