Hot on the heels of the Wichita release of their 2012 debut comes the brand new album from Swearin’.

Sticking to their DIY guns, the band holed up in their new hometown of Philadelphia and recorded, mixed and mastered this album themselves. The album shows an impressive development and broadening of their sound away from the more pop punk edged indie rock that defined their debut, although there are still some punky nuggets along the way.

Swearin’ is fronted by Allison Crutchfield, sister of Waxahatchee’s Katie Crutchfield. The twin sisters were previously both in the band PS Eliot together. Swearin’ also features Keith Spencer (the Waxahatchee drummer) playing bass.

Swearin’ will be bringing their increasingly legendary and riotous live show across the Atlantic for the first time this October, when they head out in support of Waxahatchee.

The vinyl edition of the album is pressed on 180g clear vinyl and also includes a CD of the full record.

For fans of Waxahatchee, The Pixies, The Breeders, Sebadoh, Superchunk.
