It’s about me, most of the time. It’s about relationships I’ve had with people, and things that have happened that have affected me emotionally. It isn’t so much characters, but what I’ve experienced.”

It’s an album dominated by digital technology, by the way the internet has impacted on the way we communicate and the way we cover things up. “I was to explore relationships through the internet and offline,” he explains. “What I was really thinking about when I was writing this record was how you could have a split personality, and so have one personality online, and one personality in person. And how much that can differ.”
