The last few months have seen a head-spinning list of accomplishments for the 16-year-old New Zealander, real name Ella Yelich-O’Connor, born and raised on Auckland’s North Shore. She shot to prominence in early 2013 with a hugely popular EP, The Love Club, which produced single “Royals.”
