Pup formed around Toronto’s punk scene, writing music seperately before eventually coming together and building a local reputation that quickly extended beyond the reaches of their city. As their experience on the live stage grew, so did their acclaim, with PUP recently winning awards for Best Live Act and Rookie Of The Year at the CBC Radio 3 Bucky Awards. After laying waste to venues across North America, the band have recorded their debut album with Dave Schiffman (The Mars Volta, Weezer, Biffy Clyro). The record itself is a jubilant yet snarling opus that perfectly encapsulates the simple, powerful punk aesthetic that PUP champion. Each track is laced with abrasive guitar lines, hard-hitting percussion and naturally, plenty of singalong appeal. This uncompromising punk rock sound has found the perfect home at SideOneDummy Records, the current home of the likes of Title Fight, Anti-Flag and Chris Shiflett.

PUP will soon be embarking on their first UK tour with Kent-natives Slaves, opening their account headlining an NME Awards showcase at The Miller, London on the 5th February.
