1974 strung-out masterpiece of deep reggae/nyabinghi (Rastafarian spiritual music). Led by Ras Michael over four extended excursions, the music is organic, sublime and expansive. Drum-and-bass-heavy (no rhythm guitar just Willie Lindo brilliantly improvising a kind of dazed blues).
Lloyd Charmers and Federal engineer George Raymond mixed the recording, opening out the enraptured mood into echoing space, adding sparse, startling effects to the keyboards. This is about as close reggae gets to psychedelia.
