Animal Collective are Dave Portner (Avey Tare), Noah Lennox (Panda Bear) and Brian Weitz (Geologist). ‘Painting With’ is their eleventh full length album.

Recording took place in the legendary EastWest Studios in Hollywood, home to sessions by The Beach Boys and Marvin Gaye. The album features contributions from John Cale and Colin Stetson and was engineered by Sonny DiPerri.

All formats of the album will initially be available with three different, randomly distributed covers featuring each Animal Collective member as painted by Brian DeGraw. Each format also includes a free sticker sheet that includes the album title in a variety of languages.

Available to independent retailers as a special LP edition that features 180g heavyweight vinyl, heavy cardboard stock LP jacket and inner sleeve, 12” zoetropic turntable slipmat – designed by Elliot Schultz – that animates when used in conjunction with a strobe light.
