Entitled after the movie of the same name (in which Simon also starred), the record is ripe for new appraisal. A properly East Coast affair co-produced by Phil Ramone, with two tracks recorded at the Agora Theatre in Cleveland, Ohio, One-Trick Pony is home to such Simon gems as the Grammy-nominated “Late In The Evening” and “Long, Long Day,” a collaboration with Patti Austin.
