Having parted ways with Columbia at the end of the second album cycle the band start their new chapter with a new partner, signing a worldwide publishing and record deal with BMG Chrysalis.

To kick off the new album campaign the band released a limited edition 7” white vinyl as part of Record Store Day. This gave fans an early chance to hear the title track of their forthcoming album ‘Later…When The TV Turns To Static’ which partnered ‘I’d Rather Be Dead (Than Be With You)’ as a double A side. Individually numbered, the vinyl and sleeve were designed by James himself, something that will continue across all products throughout the campaign. ‘The main reason I want to design the artwork is simply the desire to express something on a visual level. Just the same reasons I write the words and music expressing something on a sound/vibration level.’

July 8th sees the release of brand new single ‘If’ and Glasvegas, rightly recognised as one of the UK’s most impressive live propositions, take to the road on an intimate run of dates. ‘If’ melds trademark Glasvegas’ soaring choruses to a martial drum and a Phil Spector inspired opening in what is fast becoming a live favourite to stand beside some of the band’s most beloved moments.

‘’If’ unravels like a jam, dexterously remapping Talking Heads ‘Road To Nowhere’ as a road to somewhere” Q

A limited edition heavyweight white vinyl with an inner sleeve incorporating James Allan’s song lyrics and chevron design.
1 x Heavyweight white 12\” vinyl, packed into a Vanguard Daffodil 290gsm inner sleeve, printed one colour then into a 12\” Gatefold Sleeve, printed 4 colour on uncoated side of 500mcn board. Clear 1 colour sticker. Packed and wrapped.

This latest album is very much a product of Glasgow and Glasvegas. Front man James Allan wrote and produced the album himself at the Gorbals Sound studio in Glasgow and the influence is clear to hear in the music.
Whilst debut album allied ‘60s girl groups with feedback and lyrical realism, and the second added magnified synth-rock, the third album sounds more raw and instinctive with an upsurge in Allan’s vocal range.

“Judging by these songs, Glasvegas appear to have come back fighting” Q

“Unmistakably Glasvegas at their very best” Daily Record
