Jeepster (Alternative Version). Continuing with the ‘T. Rex Alternative Singles Collection’ we have the global monster hit from 1971, Jeepster. This version was an early run through with the band recorded in New York in April 1971. The B side is a much different version of another Electric Warrior album track ‘The Motivator’, recorded in Los Angeles later in the same month. 500 copies only on blue vinyl in the new T.Rex house bags, 500 copies on picture disc. The photo on the A side was taken by Spud Murphy in the studio during the recording of the Electric Warrior album which he also provided the cover photo for. Murphy is also the photographer that took the iconic and classic John Lennon Imagine photos at John’s home after the recording of that album. Previous titles in the picture disc format sold out in the first week. All royalties go to The Light of Love Foundation. These particular recordings and many more were amongst the tapes stolen from Marc & Gloria’s home in 1977, some of this material was returned to The Light of Love Foundation last year.
