Although a five-piece, there’s a lean, muscular feeling to tracks like “Work my Body” that contrasts nicely with the all-out aural assault of “Fiend”. In terms dynamics, Leafhound clearly knew the range of amplifier settings between 0 and 10 and were very prepared to use them. That said, through, there always seemed to be room for halls stretch out and show his undoubted guitar skills. Interestingly, the titles of the album’s nine original tracks, like the name of the band itself, were taken from an anthology of stories by horror writer Herbert van Thal.
