BANKS will be releasing her hotly anticipated debut album Goddess worldwide on September 8th via Good Years in the UK and Harvest in the US. The album features nine brand new tracks as well as familiar favorites ‘Waiting Game’, ‘Brain’, ‘This Is What It Feels Like’, ‘Change’ and ‘Warm Water’.

The announcement follows a fever pitch build which has seen BANKS emerge as a star in the making as part of a new generation of forward thinking artists. From the acclaimed London EP to two consecutive sold out headline shows at London’s Koko to a triumphant performance in front of a thousands strong, packed-to-the-rafters tent at Coachella – a performance that was highlighted by everyone from Time Magazine to The Guardian – it is clear that every transmission from BANKS is waited upon with bated breath.

Album title track ‘Goddess’ offers a scintillating preview from the forthcoming full length and is available to download now via iTunes with pre-orders of the album. Produced by frequent collaborator Lil Silva, it’s a powerful mission statement of throbbing bass, exotic hymn-like melody and the memorable refrain of “she’s a goddess, you never got this”. Simultaneously empowering and vulnerable, confident and yearning, visceral and keenly intelligent – ‘Goddess’ embodies the beaconing allure, get-under-your-skin lyrics and innovative musical palette that have defined BANKS singular sound.
