The American Jazz, soul and folk guitarist Terry Callier released his fifth studio album in 1978. On the album, Callier delivers nine songs with his usual combination of thoughtfulness, emotion and passion. His powerful lyrics and effective music plays a huge part in the nine songs which this albums consist about. Terry was joined on the album by a number of well-known artists, including Minnie Riperton, Cynthia Wright, Eddie Harris and Larry Wade. All of them play their part in helping Terry make this such an attractive album. His deep Chicago soul is influenced by the coming years of disco music. His most stunning tracks are the poetic “African Violet” and the phenomenally written “Martin St. Martin”.

After Terry Callier’s rediscovery during the early 90’s he gained the recognition he deserved as a musician. During his lifetime, he died in 2012, he recorded spiritual music influenced by the folk and jazz of the ‘60s and ‘70s. From the ‘90s on he recorded a couple of new and successful albums.
