Formed in 1963, The Hollies were one of the best and most commercially successful pop/rock acts of the British invasion, quickly developing their distinctive three-part harmony style with ringing guitars and hook-happy material. For many Hollies enthusiasts, Evolution is considered the band’s most accessible blend of pop and psychedelia. It peaked at number 13 in the UK chart and was rated four stars by AllMusic. This is the first time the album will be released on double vinyl including both mono and stereo versions.
