The Aliens are a Scottish band consisting of former Beta Band members Gordon Anderson (aka Lone Pigeon, lead vocals, guitar), John Maclean (keyboards, backing vocals) and Robin Jones (drums, backing vocals).

They have released just two studio albums, one live album, two EP’s and a number of singles.. Their debut album, Astronomy for Dogs charted at #46 in the UK Album Chart in 2007. In spring of 2008, the band cancelled all shows except their festival appearances due to the increasing ill health of Gordon Anderson during the recording of the second album. That second album, Luna was released on 29 September 2008 and there followed a period of silence until, on 4 July 2019, The Aliens once again became active on social media.

On 11th December The Aliens will now release a long awaited new album length vinyl EP, “Electronville” also on ACIO Rekkudz.

A decade on, The Aliens mark their return with the Electronville EP, an album length concept EP (they’re aliens and they’ll do what they want!) driven by the mercurial songwriting of Gordon Anderson AKA Lone Pigeon, former alumni on Domino Recordings.

Renowned for their genre zapping abilities, The Aliens cross further boundaries with Electronville – psychdelically splicing and probing across Electronica, Dance, Avant Garde and even Classical. Electronville is inspired by The Aliens galaxy hopping during their absence from Earth. A truly extra-terrestrial experience is guaranteed.
