Discovered, managed and produced by none other than legendary Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi, Cumbria based Necromandus were a band destined for great things that unfortunately never happened. Now considered a cult band of early 70’s progressive hard rock, what we have here is a fantastic collection of their Doomed 1973 full-length album, Orexis of Death, originally intended for release on the legendary Vertigo label. It’s coupled with a storming, extremely rare live set also recorded that same year at The Blackpool Casino. With a renewed interest in the underground rock music of this period, Orexis of Death & Live are archive recordings waiting to be heard by a new audience.
