Celebrated indie-poppers THE HIT PARADE release their Cornish Pop Songs album – first released on CD to critical acclaim in 2014 – on a new limited edition vinyl pressing of 500 copies The vinyl edition of the album is issued in gatefold sleeve, free poster and features 16 songs including two previously unreleased cuts: ‘Girl On The Beach’ and ‘Weekend In Scilly’. The latter song features first time lead vocal by Hit Parade bassist Raymond Watts, known for his band PIG / KMFDM. The album features fourteen barn-storming tunes inspired by the seagulls and the mackerel fishermen of Cornwall. On it’s release The Cornishman wrote that it was “the best record made about Cornwall so far this century”. Several of the band’s recent 7″ singles have been set in Cornwall including Queen Of Mousehole and Born In St Ives and have raised funds for the Fisherman’s Mission Newlyn and the Porthmeor Art Studios, St Ives.
