Collector’s Box featuring 2 Albums (No Prayer For The Dying (LP) and Fear Of The Dark (2LP)) But Sized to House All 12 Albums in Reissue Campaign!

Parlophone Records will follow 2014’s reissue of the first eight Iron Maiden albums, which spanned the 1980s, with twelve brand new pressings of albums from the period 1990-2015 on heavyweight 180g black vinyl. Unlike the ’80s reissues which were cut from the original analogue master tapes, the audio on these releases has been cut from the high resolution remasters of 2015 when the Maiden catalogue was digitally upgraded. They will be packaged in identical artwork to the initial vinyl releases and will be issued chronologically across a three month period.

As a bonus, the first two albums (No Prayer For The Dying (LP) and Fear Of The Dark (2LP)) will also be made available in an exclusive Collector’s Box sized to house all 12 albums with additional space for fans to insert the latest Maiden studio album The Book of Souls, which was released on triple black vinyl in 2015. The ‘90s proved to be a difficult time for heavy metal bands in general, but Iron Maiden plowed forward, notching up yet more success with albums like 1990’s No Prayer For The Dying and 1992’s Fear Of The Dark, their eighth and ninth studio efforts respectively.

Appearing on vinyl for the first time in the U.S. in over 25 years, No Prayer For The Dying was produced by longtime colloaborator Martin Birch and marked the debut of new guitarist Janick Gers. A return to basics, the album climbed to No. 17 on the Billboard Top 200 and was the band’s last to be certified gold in the U.S. thanks to standouts like “Holy Smoke,” “Bring Your Daughter…to the Slaughter” and “Tailgunner.” Available for the first time on LP in the U.S., Fear Of The Dark was the last Maiden studio effort to feature vocalist Bruce Dickinson until his return in 1999. Debuting at No. 1 in the U.K. and climbing to No. 12 on the Billboard Top 200 in the U.S., the album marked a return to classic ’80s form yielding killer singles like “Be Quick Or Be Dead” and the epic title cut.
