Re-Mastered version of the 1977 Debut album by Canadian Prog Rockers FM

Now available for the first time on vinyl

Re-release comes prior to a brand new studio album in 2015. Deluxe Digipack with liner notes by music writer Nick Krewan Featuring original members Cameron Hawkins, Martin Deller and the late Nash the Slash, FM carved a path for themselves and many in the Progressive Rock genre for years to come. Their instantly recognizable “Phasors on Stun” remains a staple at Rock Radio outlets across Canada to this day Now Conveyor Canada rereleases this beautifully melodic debut work which gave its audience a window into what FM were truly capable of. Re-mastered and presented in a deluxe Digipak format CD, it offers exclusive bonus tracks taken from a prerecording gig at Toronto’s legendary Larry’s Hideaway carefully re-mastered by award winning Canadian producer Peter Moore. The first of several back catalogue releases from Conveyor this fall, FM will release their live performance DVD later in 2014 and a new album in 2015. The band began life in 1976 with Cameron Hawkins (Synthesisers, Bass, Vocals) and Nash The Slash (Jeff Plewman) (Electric Violin, Mandolin, Vocals) coming together as a duo, making an appearance on national TV in Canada in the Summer of 1976. By March 1977 FM became a trio with the addition of Martin Deller on Drums. The Canadian Broadcasting Company offered to release the band’s debut album, Black Noise on their own label later that year, but the record was only made available via mail order. The following year Black Noise was given a wider release on the VISA label in the USA. This Esoteric Recordings release is the first time Black Noise has been issued in Europe and has been newly remastered and includes an illustrated booklet and a new essay.
