Acknowledged as one of the finest musicians that the British Isles has ever produced, and with a career that dated back to the 1960s, there were few musical genres that Gary Moore had not turned his adroit musical hand to. Gracing the line-ups of several notable rock bands – Thin Lizzy, Colosseum II and (the original) Skid Row, in his time – he also established himself as a world-class guitarist, with few equals. The late-70s and early-80s were characterized by Moore’s restless search for the best musical settings for his talents. 1989’s After The War served as Moore’s final conventional rock album before pursuing the blues full time. Standouts include the pop-leaning “Ready to Love” and his moving tribute to good friend Phil Lynott (“Blood of Emeralds”) while Ozzy Osbourne himself pops up on guest vocals on “Led Clones” and “Speak For Yourself.”
