Diverse Vinyl is pleased to announce the arrival of secure
online shopping! Whether you are an existing valued customer
or a Diverse virgin, you will need to register your details
to be able to shop securely online. It only takes a minute
to register, and your user name and password can then be used
to speed up the ordering process every time you return to
Diverse Vinyl.
USING
THE SECURE SHOPPING BASKET
To
buy an LP click on the "Buy!" link at the end
of the line. This will activate your shopping basket, which
will open in a separate window. Enter the quantity of LPs
you require, then click "Yes" to add the LP to your
basket.
Carry on this way until all the LPs you require are in your
basket. You can view the contents of your basket at any time
by clicking the icon in the shopping basket window

When you have finished shopping, you need to go to the checkout.
Click the checkout icon

Enter your billing information and delivery address, if different
(otherwise delivery fields will auto copy from the billing
info).
ORDERS PLACED OUTSIDE THE UK CAN ONLY BE DELIVERED TO THE BILLING ADDRESS REGISTERED WITH THE CUSTOMER'S CREDIT CARD ISSUER. OVERSEAS ORDERS PLACED WITH A DIFFERENT DELIVERY ADDRESS WILL NOT BE PROCESSED.
Once your details are complete you will be prompted to register
as a new user. Once registered you will be e mailed with your
user name and password, for use on subsequent visits.

Proceed to the confirmation page, which will confirm that
your order has been received
PAYPAL USERS
Please process your order, placing the words PAYPAL in the credit card number field, and wait for an email confirmation which will inform you of the total price of the order. Then you can PayPal this amount to sales@diversevinyl.com. Please ensure that your PayPal email address is the same as your Diverse Vinyl registered username, so that we can correlate payments with orders.
SECURITY INFORMATION
When you submit your order, our secure server (hosted by AffordableHost)sends an encrypted e mail to Diverse Vinyl. Your credit card details are encrypted using the RC4 algorithm. This algorithm encrypts and decrypts the information using a predetermined password, known only to Diverse Vinyl. Once your order is received, the credit card details are decoded and your order is processed. Your card details will be then stored as part of our off line database, which is strictly governed in accordance with the UK's Data Protection Act. Thus it is not necessary to send your credit card details a second time, unless you change your card or details.

POSTAL RATES
UK:
£2.50 for 1 LP, 75p each additional LP (up to 5LPs)
Standard
UK postage is sent by Royal Mail, second class
UK orders of 6LPs and over are charged at a flat rate of £7.50 and sent via Business Post "Parcel Post" this is a guaranteed 48 hour service, although on most occasions parcels are delivered within 24 hours. Please note that Business Post require a signature on delivery, so please provide us with an address where there is likely to be somebody available during office hours. If there is no reply at the delivery address, Business Post will leave a calling card, and call back the following working day. They charge a "re-delivery fee" of £6.50 for each return visit, which will be charged to the customer if no arrangements have been made to take delivery. A 24 hour service is available by request. Please call for a quote for this service.
EUROPE:
£3 for 1LP, £1.50 for each additional LP
REST
OF WORLD: £6 for 1LP, £2.50 for each additional

Smaller orders are sent via the Royal Mail small packet service. Orders over 5 LPs are sent in either 2 (or 3) small packets, or for larger orders, Business Post "Road Express" service, whichever is the cheapest.
PLEASE
NOTE: An
"LP" refers to a single piece of vinyl. Double/Triple
LPs and box sets are charged according to the total number of
LPs included in the set.
Every
effort is made to ensure a damage free delivery. Our packaging
is specially made to ensure your LPs a safe journey through
the international postal network. In the unlikely event that
an LP does arrive damaged, please return it for replacement.
Catalogue
Prices
Note that UK VAT (sales tax) is included in all catalogue prices.
This will be charged on UK and EC orders, but will be removed
from orders outside the EC.
(Divide the catalogue price by 1.175 for the actual price, net
of VAT)
PRE-ORDERS OF FORTHCOMING RELEASES
LPs listed on the Forthcoming Releases page can be reserved by clicking on the Pre-Order logo. If you are an existing registered customer, the LP will be added to any back orders on your file and sent on release. If you.re not registered then simply fill in your name and email address in the relevant fields, and you.ll be sent an email informing you that the LP is now available for purchase.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
Complaints/Feedback
The staff at Diverse Vinyl take pride in their customer service, and this includes the ability to deal with complaints in a confidential and fair manner. Customer feedback is vital if Diverse Vinyl is to fine tune it's operations to meet exactly their customers' requirements. A customer who feels they have the need to complain, or offer feedback about any aspect of Diverse Vinyl's business may do so by e mailing Paul Hawkins (paul@diversevinyl.com). I will acknowledge receipt of any complaint or feedback within 5 working days, keeping the customer informed as to the likely timescale involved in resolving any dispute. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Defective
items:
Please note that not all LPs are sealed as standard, and we cannot therefore guarantee sealed copies will be sent. Unsealed LPs, and known problem pressings will be unsealed and inspected for visual defects prior to sending. Many faults cannot be seen however, so if you are unhappy with the quality of your LP then send it back to us and we will either refund postage costs or deduct them from your next order. Please note that in respect of UK customers, since we use Royal Mail's second class service, we refund the return costs of second class postage only.
You can always return items if they are defective, however we require notification of a defective LP within 28 days of delivery.
To
return an item:
To return an item, please download and then fill in the Returns Form, which must be included along with any return. Please wrap the return securely (preferably in the packaging in which it was received) and send it to the address quoted on the form.
For
all other items:
Under
the Sale Of Goods Act 1978 we are only obliged to offer a
refund on defective products. Unless otherwise arranged, all
other items may be exchanged where possible, or a credit note
will be issued.
Cancelling
an item:
Under
the United Kingdom's Distance Selling Regulations, you have
the right to cancel the contract for the purchase of any item
within seven working days of delivery. This applies to all
our products.
To cancel this contract, please fill out the back of the delivery
slip that accompanies your items, giving the reason for the
return as "Contract cancellation". Please package
the relevant item securely and send it to us with the delivery
slip so that we receive it within seven working days of the
date that the item was delivered to you.
For your protection, we recommend that you use a recorded-delivery
service. Please note that you will be responsible for the
costs of returning the goods to us unless we delivered the
item to you in error or the item is faulty. As soon as we
receive notice of your cancellation of this order, we will
refund the relevant part of the purchase price for that item.
Your
statutory rights are not affected.
PRIVACY POLICY
We
are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use
the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance
with the Data Protection Act 1998) and according to the Which?
Web Trader Code of Practice.
We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to
process your order and second, to provide you with the best
possible service.
We will not e-mail you in the future unless you have given
us your consent.
We will give you the chance to refuse any marketing email
from us or from another trader in the future.
The type of information we will collect about you includes:

We will never collect sensitive information about you without

The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You
can check the information that we hold about you by emailing
us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct

and the Which? Web Trader Code.
If we intend to transfer your information outside the EEA
(European Economic Area) we will always obtain your consent
first.
We may use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of
visitors to our site. This can include using a "cookie"
which would be stored on your browser. You can usually modify
your browser to prevent this happening. The information collected
in this way can be used to identify you unless you modify
