Keeping track of over 4000 lines in out catalogue is an arduous task, and it is inevitable that popular items will occasionally run out before we receive re-stocks. This is especially true of import titles, which can take upward of 2-3 weeks to arrive here. LPs may also be out of stock with our suppliers for similar reasons, and sometimes we're just all caught out by the runaway success of a new LP, and can struggle to meet demand.
As a general rule stock can be turned around very quickly, so once you've decided whether to "save" your entire order, or "checkout" just the available items, be sure to keep LPs in your wishlist to be first in the queue when they're back in stock.
Our catalogue is a list of all the products we believe to be available at the time of upload, however it is often the case that we are not always informed about deleted items until after we've re-ordered them! With our new live stock control system, customers are now automatically informed of the stock situation of a product after it is added to (and prior to confirming) an order. As soon as we're made aware that a product is no longer available, it is removed from the website.
A final word about out of stock items. It's inevitable that certain popular items will go in and out of stock frequently, as there is often a lead time between selling out and restocking. We'd like to encourage all customers to leave out of stock items on their file, as items can often come back into stock in a matter of days, sometimes even later the same day! The more back orders, the quicker minimum order quantities can be reached, and that means wanted items will come through quicker for everyone! We can give you an indication of the lead time of any catalogue item, so why not drop us a line to get the latest information.

Aside from our huge range of brand new LPs, we also offer a range of quality second hand LPs. We cherry pick only the best quality and condition second hand vinyl (plus the more unusual and rare albums) - hence we call them NEARLY NEW LPs. These items will appear alongside new LPs in search results, but they'll feature the phrase NEARLY NEW clearly stated after the title, and also the condition. You can also browse the complete list of Nearly New items from the main catalogue menu. We use the industry standard Record Collector grading system for all our used LPs.
From time to time we come across some real finds, rare and collectable gems that are a little different from your run of the mill second hand. In order to give everyone a fair chance of picking up these albums, we put them up up for auction on our Ebay shop, so interested parties can name their own price! Our Ebay store can be found at http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Diverse-Vinyl

The short answer is "no"! Despite shrink wrapping becoming more and more common, not every record label chooses to seal their LPs as standard when they come off the press.
Furthermore, most of our LPs will be displayed for sale in our retail premises, and to minimise theft only a sleeve is displayed in the racks. This means that, where an LP is shrink wrapped, one copy of (nearly) every title will be opened and the LP removed before display. Therefore the last copy in stock will not be sealed. Whilst this might disappoint the odd customer, it does allow us to inspect a copy of each LP for quality control purposes.
Many customers prefer us to remove vinyl from its sleeve before posting, to minimise the risk to both, and this is a service we are happy to provide. If you specifically require sealed LPs, then please let us know.
Please note however that special editions (eg box sets) and all audiophile LPs are kept sealed.
